Delivery Auto-Assign
The Delivery Auto Assign app picks the delivery company for every new order from your store, following rules you set, so you do not choose a company by hand on each order.
Before you start
Connect at least one delivery company in Delivery, then Delivery Companies. See Delivery Company Setup. Until then, the app shows a message that no delivery companies are connected instead of a company list.
Open the app
Open Apps, find the Delivery Auto Assign card and click Open App. This app needs no plan upgrade.
How Zimam picks a company
When a customer orders from your store, Zimam tries these candidates in order and stops at the first one that works:
- A company already set on the order: Zimam changes nothing.
- A company pinned on a product: an item in the order is a product with a company chosen in the Delivery Company field on its edit page. If the order has products pinned to different companies, Zimam uses one of them.
- The app's rules: by Priority, lowest number first.
Zimam skips a candidate that is not connected to your store or cannot serve the order's destination, and moves on to the next one. If no candidate works, the order stays without a company for you to choose.
Auto-assignment only picks the company. The order is sent to the company when it becomes Confirmed.
Create a rule
- Click Create New Rule.
- Enter a Rule Name so you recognize it in the list.
- Set the Priority: lower number = higher priority.
- Choose the Delivery Company from your connected companies.
- Set Conditions if you want them (see below).
- Make sure Active is on, then click Create Rule.
A rule with no conditions is a Catch-all (matches all orders).
Rule conditions
Every condition you set must hold at once:
- Wilayas: one or more wilayas. Leave empty to match any wilaya.
- Min Order Value and Max Order Value: a range for the order total, delivery fee included. Leave both empty for no limit.
- Delivery Type: Home Delivery and/or Desk Delivery. Leave both unselected to match either type.
The rule list
Active Delivery Rules shows each rule with its priority, name, company and a summary of its conditions, plus an Inactive tag if it is switched off. From the same row you can edit a rule (pencil icon) or delete it (trash icon, after confirming). To pause a rule without deleting it, turn off Active in Edit Rule.
Products pinned to a company
If you pinned products to a delivery company, the app lists them under Products pinned to a company, for reference only. These products always go to their company before any rule is checked, so a rule can look as if it was skipped for an order whose product is pinned to another company. Change that from the product's own page.
Good to know
- Auto-assignment runs on orders customers place on your store, only when the order is created. Editing the order later does not run it again, and orders that arrive from other sales channels are not covered.
- If you disconnect a company that a rule or a product uses, Zimam skips it and moves on to the next candidate.
- For desk delivery, Zimam skips a company with no office in the customer's wilaya when it is one of the companies whose office Zimam picks. See Delivery Company Setup.
