Quick Contact Buttons
The Quick Contact Buttons app adds a floating phone button and a floating WhatsApp button that stay on screen while the buyer browses, so they can reach you before ordering. Each button has its own switch, number, and display locations. The app is available from the Starter plan up.
Turn the buttons on
- Open Apps from the sidebar.
- On the Quick Contact Buttons card, click Open App.
- Turn on Phone Call, WhatsApp, or both. Both are off by default.
- Enter the number:
- Phone Call: enter the Phone Number as you want it dialled.
- WhatsApp: enter the Country code without
+, then the number in the Number without 0 field. Leading zeros are removed, and the link is built from the two parts.
- Choose the Display locations for each button that is on (see below).
- Click Save Contact Settings. The message Settings saved successfully! appears.
When you change the phone number, it is checked against your store country's phone number format. The WhatsApp number is checked the same way only when its country code is your store country's code; a number from another country is accepted as entered. A number you saved earlier stays saveable as long as you do not change it.
Saving needs permission to manage store settings.
Display locations
Each button has two independent options:
- Storefront: when on, the button shows on pages that are not about a single product, such as the home page, collection pages, and custom pages.
- Product pages: sets which product pages show the button. Click Select all to show it on every product, including products you add later, or tick specific products. Click Clear all to clear the selection. The counter next to the heading shows how many products are selected out of the total.
A landing page follows the Product pages setting of the product it sells.
The list shows only the first 100 products in your store.
What a tap does
- The phone button opens the buyer's phone dialler with your number.
- The WhatsApp button opens a WhatsApp chat with your number.
A button never shows if it is off or its number is empty, whatever its display locations.
Other places your number is used
- If WhatsApp is on and has a number, the thank-you pop-up shown after an order includes a WhatsApp button with that number.
- If you have not chosen a contact button in the order tracking settings, the tracking page uses the WhatsApp number, then the phone number, from this app.
