Connect TikTok Pixel
Once you save a TikTok pixel ID, the pixel runs on every page of your store and sends TikTok page views, product views, add-to-cart, checkout starts and purchases. The Starter plan and above include this tool, server-side tracking included.
Add the pixel
- In the sidebar, open Pixels.
- On the TikTok Pixel card, click Open App.
- In Pixel Name, type a name that helps you recognize it. This field is optional.
- In Pixel ID, paste the pixel ID from TikTok Ads Manager. The ID is 20 letters and digits; Zimam converts the letters to upper case for you.
- Click Save Pixel Settings.
When the save succeeds, you see Pixel settings saved successfully. and the pixel shows the Browser: firing badge.
Server-side tracking (Events API)
Add an access token so Zimam's server sends the same events to TikTok, and they arrive even when the pixel is blocked in the visitor's browser.
- Under the pixel, open Server-side (Conversions API).
- In Access Token, paste the access token you generated in TikTok for this same pixel.
- Click Save Pixel Settings.
After you save, the pixel shows Server: connected.
The server sends product views, add-to-cart and checkout starts with the same ID the browser pixel used, and sends the purchase when the order is recorded, with the order's own ID. TikTok therefore counts each event once. A purchase reaches TikTok as CompletePayment.
The access token is not shown again after you save it. If you change the pixel ID, enter the token again before you save.
More than one ad account
Click Add another ad account to add another pixel. You can add up to 5 TikTok pixels, each with its own access token.
Next steps
- For the events sent and how each event is counted once, see Pixels and tracking.
